It was a really good experience to visit this wonderful place. Every staff member explained a short interesting history about every room in the house. Though that was not enough for a history lover, you can learn more details in the museum and educational center.

I would suggest to anyone who wants to go there that they should keep a minimum of 3 to 4 hours to visit everything perfectly.

A very well maintained property with such rich history. Very much worth visiting.

The staff were all very knowledgable and more than happy to describe a room or answer questions - it turns out George Washington was actually a red head - and the grounds were great as well.

I would definitely recommend taking time to visit each part of the estate, especially since the single use tickets are quite pricey.

Also during peak times such as in the summer, queues for the main house do get quite long so make sure to arrive at the time your ticket says!

This place was awesome. I would definitely recommend getting the in-depth private tour it is well worth it. You learn a lot and get to see a lot more. What if you from the back and the front of the mansion. Very cool history here. Give a shout out to Peter our tour guide did an awesome job and new and whole bunch about the place

Great experience here. Many things to see and the employees are all very knowledgeable. A bit of a line to get into the mansion but was worth it. Museum was great as well.

This one surprised me, as a kid I admired him and to see his home still intact is a real treat. The mount Vernon ladies association done a wonderful job preserving his home. When I got there they were finishing up renovation. I did the home tour and boat ride(if you want to go,you should get tickets in advance). The museum gave alot of info and a nice movie theater. they have food court and restaurant which both are different locations in the visiting center. Nice gift shop as well.
