I have known of this rock since before the damn was built. It was on the of side of a steep mountain off the roadside. As a preteen myself and my family would visit and have lunch perched on it while we would have our own theories as to how it got the formations.

The rock was worth the stop. It would have been better if everything would have been open. The signs said it was closed for the season? Hello, it is Summer!

Very interesting place. Or rather thing. Right beside a beautiful lake Waffle Rock was and interesting sight. Was it formed naturally or perhaps by aliens?!?!?!?!?

Really nice observation deck of the lake with pamphlets describing the waffle rock and some history. A really interesting place to go, with fishing, swimming, and picnicking all available.

Good stop alongside the trail. Has bathrooms and water fill station
