Extremely confusing for first time visitors. We booked a cruise at 11:30, aimed to arrive at 10;45. Got stuck in traffic near the mansion. Had to loop through parking lots many times. Couldn’t find the right one.

Was told it was a 5-15 minute walk. Then that it was a 20 minute walk. That the shuttle would come. A very kind manager gave us a ride. Arrived at the wharf at 11:29/11:30 and was told to turn around and come back later. Couldn’t come back later. Debated what to do and just had to leave. Lost money, waste of time and a VERY big waste of energy running and racing around all of mount wernon only to encounter very rude wharf attendants who wouldn’t just put the bridge back for us to cross over before the boat even left. Untied the boat and took off with us standing there having just arrived at the exact time.

We are NOT LATE or careless people. The confusing instructions and lack of signs on the roads of where to park etc and the misleading “5-15 minute walk” made us miss our cruise and then got us treated badly.

Very thankful for the manager who helped us, he’s a light there!

No narration, not a lot to see.

Pleasant enough on a nice day, but not very productive time spent

One star is very generous. The staff were easily the rudest people I’ve ever met. They barked at us from the beginning of the cruise, commanded us around with total apathy. Absolutely horrible experience. The old man with the scraggly, greasy hair at the wharf of the mansion was absolutely awful. Barking orders and being terribly rude. Treated the people with total disrespect and impatience. Absolutely do not recommend spending $200+ to be treated like scum. I was extremely uncomfortable.

We could not hear any of the very minimal narration on this cruise. Staff was completely unwilling to turn up the volume, said they were too ‘busy.’ Don’t wast your money.

The tour itself is nice. The ship is in bad shape and the crew must be replaced. The interior of the ship looks old and abandoned. The apathy of the crew is obvious. Never go into the restrooms, the foul smell will stay in your nose for hours.
Sad.
