A great lesser known park in Charles county. I’ve been twice this week and have only seen one other person. It’s a beautiful and scenic park surrounded by nanjemoy creek so there are plenty of water views on the farm and trails. There are three parking lots for the farm area and walking/equestrian trails. There is also a boat launch at the end of the road for motor boats as well as a kayak launch. We did the blue trail which had a few benches and tables with seating right on the waters edge to enjoy the scenery. All of the trail seem to be just over a mile long so nothing to strenuous. Great place for a quiet walk in nature. The trails seem to connect if you want to make the hike longer. I believe there is 4 or 5 total trails. The blue trail did get pretty muddy as you enter the woods for a small patch so be prepared. Absolutely loved this park for its scenery and peace and quiet with it being located in nanjemoy and pretty secluded from anything else.

This park used to have a bad reputation in Nanjemoy, but it's been cleaned up and is a really great park. There's horse riding trails, hiking trails, and river access for boats and fishers. There's picnic areas and baseball/soccer fields. We did a mommy and me photoshoot here. (Thank you, Kait Dobry). Super pretty. Check out the pictures

Disappointing views and difficult to walk.
The Dent’s Landing trail was difficult to follow and littered with fallen trees. There were numerous times when I wasn’t sure if I was on the path. I thought there would be some places to get a good view of the water but most of the trail is back in the woods and you can’t see anything. There is a small fishing area with pipes to hold multiple rods and a fish cleaning station. I found a bunch of trash down by the fishing station in addition to the trash scattered around the trail.
If you want to look out over the water, you’ll have to go to the boat ramp. There is some parking down there aside from the trailer parking.
Overall, this was more of a pain than it was worth. I came here to go birding and it wasn’t worth the effort. I’d recommend Mallows Bay instead.

Well marked trails. Lots of wildlife and a Bald Eagle sighting. Good parking. Port-o-potties available.
