This is a fairly under the radar national park. It is however better than I was expecting. There is plenty of parking and the trails are short and easy.

There are numerous information plaques around the park (I’ve included pictures of most of them). There are a few cannons too which are much larger than I was expecting.

I do wish that the park was a little more developed with more picnic areas and maybe a small visitor center. This park lacks a unigrid (brochure) which makes me a little sad.

Easy very small park and signs are easy to find as to what used to be there. Was hopeful to see more but there’s really not much left but the cannons are big and worth dropping in to learn a little bit about the fort if you’re near enough by.

I liked Fort Foote Park. I went there after I visited Fort Washington and Harmony Hall. The 2 big Rodman guns on display at Fort Foote were impressive. The magazine ruins were also interesting. The wharf along the river's edge provided very scenic views of Alexandria and the Potomac.

Park with lots of trails. Dog friendly, not all trails are stroller friendly. Lots of historic artifacts. It has a picnic area and parking lot.

This place is local and convenient for a quick hike. The cannons are cool. The trail down to the river both ways is nice. Saw a lot of deer, and I was able to get close. However, there is prevalent trash.

This is clearly the result of people who have no stake in this place, or their own community, which is sad..

Not a bad spot for a quick workout hike and to see the cannons. It is a shame that a few bad and lazy people make it nasty for everyone else..
