This was our third time tubing at the Millville location, and we’ll definitely be back! There’s plenty of parking, the staff is always friendly and organized, and the whole experience is very family-friendly.

We brought two 5-year-olds with us, and this is the perfect float for young kids. The river is gentle, and the trip takes about 45 minutes to an hour, making it just the right length to keep everyone happy. We recommend renting the tube straps or bringing your own,they make it much easier to keep everyone together. We also enjoyed the backrest tubes, although they’re not a necessity if you’re looking to save a little money.

One of the highlights is near the end of the float where there’s a small “waterfall” that’s a blast for kids to slide down. Stay toward the middle of the river as best you can for the best experience.

We usually start around 10:00 a.m. and can comfortably fit in two trips before heading out around 1:30 p.m. Overall, this is one of our favorite family activities in the area, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing day on the Shenandoah! Also, makes for a great kid free day!

Great experience ! We enjoyed from the beginning to the end of it. Drew, our guide, was very diligent with safety procedures and knowledgeable about Potomac River and its surroundings. My husband and daughter loved the crazy swim as well❤️❤️❤️

On one of the hottest days of the summer, we had a fantastic time! Booked one day in advance, felt like the price was fair, and location was easy to find. Had changing rooms and separate port-a-potties if needed. The float was beautiful. We hit one slow patch. They offered to drive us up and let us float again; 1.5 hours of relaxation and fun. Rocks are sharp, there is wildlife, enjoy the access to the outdoors!

We absolutely loved our tubing experience in Harper’s Ferry, WV! The check in and parking process was smooth- you just drive up and one of their team members directs you on where is best to park, and then you walk up to the hut for check in. We then went back to our car to make sure we were sunscreened and ready to go- then went back up to grab our life vests and cooler tube, and wait for the shuttle to bring us up to the tubing start point. I do wish their was a team member stationed at the start point to direct traffic while everyone is getting in, and help you get in the tubes + give you a push to the middle of the river- however it all ended up working out great. We were able to make stops along the way which made our tubing trip longer- loved that!! When you’re getting to the end it is super shallow and rocky, but that has nothing to do with the company and they do give a safety speech beforehand so everyone is fully aware of what to do. All in all we had an amazing time and will definitely be back!! Thank you!

River & Trail Outfitters was the best choice for tubing on the Shenandoah! Each and every staff member was so friendly and accommodating. Everyone was focused on us having a great time. Ms. Jenny was absolutely amazing and clearly runs the whole ship super well. We really appreciate that she and the staff helped provide first aid to a member of our group when he got hurt on the river rocks. Additionally, the tubing equipment was in better condition and cleaner than that of the other companies we saw on the river. A wonderful experience through and through!
