Maybe this place is nicer in Spring/Summer or for sailing. But walking in winter is not very attractive; you are sharing the path with bikes passing all the time and you are constantly hearing the traffic noise. The „sandy beach strip“ indicated by Google maps doesn’t exist - the road there ends in a muddy endloop would nothing to see/do

Great place to picnic, fish and also run along GW Parkway.

Very nice park with excellent views, a marina, public restrooms, a cafe, and picnic tables. A lovely place to spend a nice afternoon.

Great access to fields, picnic benches, marsh trail, and the GW Parkway trail. Nice view of the river.

Enjoy walking my dog there. Over the years we have seen a fox, snapping turtle, and vulture.
