One of my fav spots to walk my dog in rock creek, easy parking and beautiful views either way on the trail. Also really nice when they close the road on weekends to walk past the bike path to be on the road.

Came here because of my National Parks Passport. Pierce Mill was one of the stamps to collect so I decided to pop in and check it out. As I arrived Fritz had just started a tour with a few people so I joined in and WOW! This place is incredible and filled with history. It's also still functioning! Definitely spend an hour learning about its history and seeing all four floors and how genius and revolutionary this mill is! The volunteers are so nice and informative! Didn't think this would be the highlight of my Rock Creek Park visit, but it was!

I really enjoyed my visit to this historic mill; it offers a fascinating glimpse into the area's industrial past that is surprisingly well-preserved. It is a peaceful spot to wander around, and you can really get a sense of how the machinery operated back in the day. The educational displays are clear and engaging, making it a great place to stop if you are interested in local history or just want to spend some time in a quiet, unique environment. It is definitely worth a look if you are exploring the park or the surrounding neighborhood.

The views were breath taking and a interesting place to visit. You can learn about the historical of the Mill. More tourists should know about this area. There are several trails from easy walking and biking trails to more rugged trail running. There's also a decent amount of parking spaces and an open lawn for picnicking.

I have gone by the Peirce Mill, probably hundreds of times, but have never actually gone inside. I decided to check it out yesterday while I was walking in the park.
Unfortunately it was closed during my visit. I was able to use my phone to take a peak inside. I am happy the water wheel was restored.
