It was QUITE a long long trip that day, canoeing with the family, picnicking, made one incredible, beautiful family day out!! It is such a lovely float!! Fishing hasn’t been the greatest in recent years but the water in general was still lovely.

The ride from Williamsport, MD to Fort Frederick and back, is one of my favorite things to ride on the canal, especially during the fall. My photo was taken at Dam #5. Total distance out and back is about 24 miles.
