It looks like a typical riverside park but after reading the information board and seeing a painting depicting the armory in the 1800s, the place suddenly came to life. It would be wonderful to see a replica of the armory at this exact location so visitors can have a feel for the place and what it was like in its heyday.

Take the time to visit the spot of one of the original 2 national armories. Very cool history. I really wish they would rebuild part of the armory and show how weapons were made here. They could even sell originals as there are some left on the collector market. Truly unapped potential.

History, not just to look at but you can touch and feel it as well. Go back in time and imagine all the events that happened here from the launch of the civil war to the beginnings of Lewis and Clark's expedition.
