Okay, so Google Maps is a little deceiving on this one-there are definitely giant pools of water there that I am sure are gorgeous here, but they’re surrounded by fencing and generally closed to the public. I walked around the area and unfortunately couldn’t catch a glimpse of the reservoir, but there are trails downhill from the area that run by the Potomac and the canal. These are pretty cool, but a lot of views are partially obstructed by trees, so you can’t get a clear shot of the river. It is a good place to walk your dog or take a run, and close to Canal Road.
