This is a great educational experience for all ages over 8. The aqueduct has been restored using a lot of the original stones that have been recovered from the canal and waterway. A lovely picture spot as well.

Visited the aqueduct recently. The walking trails along the canal are in great condition. A flat and easy walk. Spotted lots of different birds including Bald Eagles. A nice break from driving for an hour while enroute to the Washington area.

One of the highlights of this section of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail from Pont of Rocks to Brunswick MD. After the Canal shut down in the early 1920's it sat unused and decaying, and was finally rebuilt, completed in 2011. Thanks to all that rebuilt it. It us a fine structure.
Access is from Landers boat ramp area off of MD 464 and Landers Road. One need to hike under a mile to get here. Historical signs are on the south end off the bridge.

A beautifully restored Aqueduct, great place to stop and rest and admire the views. Also the history behind this particular aqueduct is readily available, as well as the story behind the rebuilding of this location.

Beautiful area and trails. Very clean and peaceful.
