Inaccessible train station! The board only shows the VRE train schedule and doesn’t include the platform. Amtrak train information isn’t displayed anywhere!
Travelers must guess which of the 3 platforms the train will arrive on and wait until they see the train to run up 2 flights of stairs to the pedestrian bridge and back down.
If you struggle on stairs or need to use the elevator, you will miss your train! Such a simple solution would to update the boards posted outside the station with the platform number for all trains.

This train station offers a unique and exclusive experience for its riders. The quiet atmosphere allows for peaceful commutes. Access to this station is a special privilege. It serves a vital purpose in connecting the base with the outside world. The limited ridership contributes to a sense of community. There is plenty of free parking available.

This station indoor common area is always closed. Everyone has to wait outside during freezing temperatures, no restrooms and no customer service representative to assist. Information screens are always offline or displaying an error. The good: the station is always clean and lots of parking spaces available.

Has some weird hours and only host’s a Rick’s Roasters coffee shop so food options are really limited. It does host the local model train club which can be quite interesting.

Under big construction right now. They're building stairs to connect the platforms, but currently to get to the center you cross the tracks on the road and walk down a pathway to the platform. It's an unmanned station (the inside waiting area is very closed) and the single monitor I saw was not on.
I heard a Northbound Amtrak train make a platform announcement, but the Southbound Amtrak I was boarding did not.
I was a bit nervous about knowing where to stand -- platforms 2&3 board from the center platform but track 1 is separate. I asked fellow riders and they said that the Amtrak trains always come to 2 or 3 (north or south bound). Take that with a grain of salt, of course, but it was true for the train I disembarked going North, the train I boarded going South, and another train I saw going North.
Hopefully when the new improvements are finished, they'll have made boarding easier for riders, with platform announcements for every train and display screens that work.
