It seems like a good university. However, I applied and got accepted for the fall semester and they wanted me to pick classes for the summer semester. Secondly, I submitted my high school transcript when I applied, but they keep saying I didn’t submit it. Finally, out of state tuition is almost $70K a year, NYU doesn’t even cost that much. So no thanks, I’ll be attending University of Edinburgh via online instead because 1) they have a law program 2) it’s a fraction of the cost compared to this university.

This review is on the campus and walkability of Georgetown University, not the academics, which are indisputably excellent. That said, the campus is a bit worn and in need of some renovations. It’s on a hill so you will get your exercise if you walk here. The buildings are almost all brick with forgettable architecture. Of course the nearby city of Georgetown is lovely and lively so there’s that.

Georgetown deserves respect for its seriousness, discipline, and stronger sense of institutional purpose. In my opinion, Georgetown represents a more mature academic culture: one that emphasizes professionalism, public responsibility, communication, and real-world judgment.

UC Davis, by contrast, often feels overrated to me. The name may look respectable on paper, but that does not automatically prove rigor, maturity, independent thinking, or practical competence. Some UC Davis graduates come across as polished through credentials and institutional branding, but weaker when it comes to humility, accountability, and actual performance.

A strong university should produce people who can think clearly, communicate responsibly, and act with substance beyond a résumé. Georgetown, in my view, feels more serious and grounded in real professional standards, while UC Davis too often seems to rely on reputation, résumé-building, and academic image instead of genuine depth.

Beautiful campus well maintained. Although old it still has many modern buildings and they are always improving. Lots of history there. No subway stop at the campus but nonetheless is worth going over there. Campus bookstore is huge.

It's beautiful. The dorm rooms are large, air conditioning, and their own bathroom. So awesome!
