I was heading to Richmond and stopped in for a break. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised that this is a fantastic museum with a wonderful staff and a multiple of neat exhibits. The staff member walked me through all of the exhibits and explain the significance of each one. If I had more time I could have spend at least another two hours. I highly recommend anyone driving through this area to stop and check it out.

Take the tour offered of NWS Dahlgren. It is held on the third Saturday of the month during the summer and is free.

A small museum devoted to preserving the history of the local Naval base. There aren't a lot of things to look at but the history is interesting. At most, a visit will take you an hour to see everything.

Very small but, nice information about the city the staff was very friendly and helpful definitely recommend it.

We were here a while back, hoping to see the museum and take a break from our travels. We were disappointed to discover that they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
