Lovely stop after hiking. They had some selections of ice cream bars and drumstick cone. Their handsome store manager, King, loves to get all the attention. Also, don't forget about Poppy! She doesn't want to miss out on the pets! Jojo is also a chill dude who is very friendly. The store had a wide range of bird feed and some things you would need on a farm. There were even dog treats and cat toys.

Always a treat. VA wines and beer. Fab breads and meats fresh local produce. Incredible bacon. The pre made sandwiches were excellent and fresh. Cards and local flowers. Yes. Stop and stock up for your adventures. It is the closest spot dependable before old rag.

Really cool old store lots of veterinary stuff. No sandwiches as older reviews were saying. Got a jar of jam to eat for the rest of my C&O ride.

we've been buying horse food, flowers, mulch, and more from poole's for over 30 years - - always friendly, stocked with great stuff, and a lovely location to boot. they have great snacks and sandwiches - plus a bench with a nice spot to sit right by the water. just a mile or so from the towpath, it's a favorite spot for locals.

My go-to for feed & animal care products. Always enjoy visiting. The store is an affiliate of Southern States & carries their products, which are excellent for ones I buy.
