Capitol Cruises is fine, but pretty underwhelming overall. The boat itself is very bare bones, and the ride isn’t anything particularly special. The narration is prerecorded, which takes away from what could have been a more engaging experience.

If you’re already in Georgetown and just want a quick ride on the Potomac, it’s an okay option. But it’s definitely not something I’d go out of my way for or plan around. There are better, more memorable ways to spend your time.

We booked our sunset cruise the day before after seeing it on the Google map online. We're glad we did. We loaded at Washington Harbor and got to sit at the bow. The night was perfect, and our tour set out right on time. We could see the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Kennedy Center, Watergate Complex, the Washington Harbor, and the Memorial Bridge. As it got darker, the monuments lit up. Our guide told us of the history of the buildings, the area, as well as fun facts. If you're looking for a relaxing way to finish the day in DC, this would be a perfect way to do so.

Capitol Cruises and the staff were absolutely phenomenal!! We had a family reunion in town and wanted a relaxing, personal way to all be together while we went on the gorgeous sunset cruise among the monuments and it was completely perfect! Cody in the office, Johnathan as captain, and Tony at the bar (and then some!) were all so accommodating, kind, professional, and super fun. A great call to join a regularly scheduled public cruise or to charter our own like we did, they're all reasonably priced and worth every penny either way. An excellent way to experience Washington DC and its people at their finest. Thank you!!

This cruise was lovely! It was on time, easy to book, and easy to board. The captain tells you about the different sites for the first half, and the second half you get to just enjoy the ride. They let us bring our own food on board; they sell drinks and some snacks. And, the team went above and beyond to care for the kids - letting them steer the boat, telling them about the different controls, and even turning around the boat to rescue a stuffy for one of the little girls. Would recommend!

Capital River Cruises provided an amazing experience on the water! The views of London’s landmarks were stunning, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, professional, and made the trip even more special. Everything was well organized and comfortable from start to finish. A perfect way to see the city — highly recommended!
