Spring and Fall are the best time to visit here. Good place to eat your lunch after learning about one of our Presidents. Accessible restrooms for everyone.

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is one of the most beautiful and serene memorials in Washington, DC. The combination of waterfalls, stone architecture, quotes, and shaded pathways creates a peaceful atmosphere along the Tidal Basin. It feels much more immersive and calming than many of the other memorials nearby. Definitely one of the most underrated spots in DC and an easy 5/5 experience.

A beautiful memorial and a place for reflection. The memorial is thoughtfully designed and provides a fascinating insight into the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the challenges of his era.

To fully appreciate the historical narrative, make sure to visit the memorial from west to east. The monument is divided into multiple sections, each representing one of FDR's presidential terms, and following this route allows you to experience the memorial in the intended chronological order.

FDR, the 32nd President of the United States, is commemorated by the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, which is a 7.5 acre park. Throughout the park, there are many different statues and inscriptions, all of which remember his presidential accomplishments.
