My spouse and I really enjoyed visiting River Farm! It has been on our "to-visit"ist for awhile, so we were glad we got to attend River Farm's annual plant sale. As the HQ of the American Horticulture Association, there are lovely gardens there. As luck would have it, the tulips were still in flower and we snapped a few family photos with them!

River Farm is one of the most peaceful and picturesque venues I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. With its sweeping views of the Potomac River, lush gardens, and historic charm, every part of the property feels like it was made for timeless wedding photos.

The ceremony spaces, especially the lawn overlooking the river and the charming garden paths, offer dreamy light throughout the day. There’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and elegance, and the grounds give couples plenty of room to explore for portraits without ever feeling crowded.

Photographing weddings at River Farm always feels relaxed and joyful. The changing colors through the seasons, the historic estate house, and the overall atmosphere make it such a beautiful and unique setting in Northern Virginia.

The farm is greatly improved with more grass and fantastic gardens. This month there are many sculptures throughout the gardens. If you love plants, you will love this place.

Beautiful grossly slopes to Potomac, lovely gardens. Great place to host weddings of other parties. I love to go there with friends for picnic lunches and c sunny walks. No tickets needed unless an event is taking place.

My first experience of River Farm was back in 2016. My sister took me here fresh from a heartbreak and I found much joy in Washington’s Gardens. Truly a spectacular place full of peace away from the city noise. If I knew how to paint I would sit in the garden painting the breathtaking views of the Potomac.
