I had lunch at Bavarian on Wednesday, June 3. I ordered a beet salad and it was delicious. There was an abundance of strawberries, feta, avocado as well as beets and other delightful ingredients. There was just enough dressing, not overdone as some salads served in restaurants. The salad was an ample size for lunch. Warm bread, pretzel rolls and three different flavors of butter were served for everyone at the table to enjoy. The waiter was very attentive. It was a pleasant dining experience for all nine of us. It was for lunch so I cannot answer questions about the hotel, but the restaurant is delightful.

This is a very quaint venue. We are here for a family event. The hospitality and facilities are great. We had dinner in the dining room. Our waitress Kimmie was very accommodating with our wine choice and assisting us with gluten free options. Food was good. The accommodations are spacious and clean. My only complaint is the strong odor of the cleaning product in the vestibule outside our room and in our room.

So overall we had a nice time. The infinity pool is great and the view is beautiful. The food at the restaurant was good and the pool staff was fantastic. We even saw a proposal out at the pool! Unfortunately, there was hair stuck to the wall of the shower and a little of what looked like red mold in the corner. Also, I accidentally dropped water on the floor and when I wiped it up with a white towel it came up very dirty. Also, it was my husband's birthday and I wanted to take him to a nice restaurant for dinner. We waited for our table on the main floor and it was beautiful, but unfortunately we got sat in the dingy basement. The decor was from the 70s and definitely didn't have a luxury feel. This portion of the restaurant does not justify a 40$ plate. It felt like a hole in the wall bar.

Beautiful location! The buildings reminded me of our stay in Bavaria Germany. Our room overlooked the Potomac, and the view was stunning. The room was impeccably clean. We loved the provided warm and cozy bathrobes! We got a meat charcuterie tray, as well as chocolate covered strawberries, and it was all delicious! The pub was gorgeous with awesome and attentive staff, and the food was great. We wish we could've stayed for more than one night! Great place for a romantic getaway.

I think my stay here at the Bavarian Inn could be summed up in these two photos.
My wife and I stayed in Room 1, the suite. We had dinner at the restaurant and I had breakfast the following morning.
The Pros:
-The view from the room is amazing.
- Value for money with the suite.
- The brothers really have done an extraordinary job building their vision. The property is amazing.
The Cons:
- Service is severely lacking. Delays at dinner, delays at breakfast. I had breakfast alone and coffee took 20min, food took 45.
- The food is OK. This new spaetzel is no bueno, it tasted like dough scrambled eggs instead of an egg noodle with a bite.
-Per the imagine, what is that hollandaise sauce? It's meant to be light and fluffy, not a vinaigrette.
- Communication between Hotel and Restaurant is non-existing. Cleaners came twicrle to our room before checking out, one even came on while my wife is sleeping, wild.
- There was no designated parking for the suites. We carried our luggage across the campus
- No hair dryers on the suite, my wife went to dinner with damp hair, room clocks are wrong
-We booked dinner for the main dining room, we were placed in casual
-The coffee program is a sore spot. Im not sure what they believe a cappuccino is supposed to be, but thats not it.
There was more but I've already conveyed my thoughts to the owners. So much like this dead flower in the picture, I think I know what the owners are going for, but lack support from a trained eye for detail to fix these shortcomings. I love the BI. I am just unsure if I'll be back again.
