Hidden gem? It was for me. I took my foster dog here for a Friday afternoon and was so impressed with the grounds and all the trails.
So well maintained, and just a beautiful place to walk on a fall day.

Today was my first visit to this park, and it won't be my last. It was great being by the river and Loved my hike as half paved path and half off road. I'll run the trail next visit and visit the parts of the park I did not see. I also look forward to visiting the cafe. Looked so nice with the outdoor seating on this beautiful Memorial Day. It is a nice park to reflect and to be thankful for those who have given all so we are able to enjoy our lives.

A beautiful park with paved and off the path trails. Covered with trees so there’s plenty of shade. They have pavilions you can rent. Open fields. Batting cage. Spots for fishing and spots to just relax. They have a cute cafe spot though we didn’t stop there this time. But the option is there. Restrooms available and accessible. 3 trail sizes . Plenty of photo opportunities. Especially at the entrance very nice garden style area with statues.

Occoquan Regional Park is beautifully maintained and has such a peaceful vibe. The trails, open fields, and waterfront areas are always clean and cared for, making it a perfect spot to enjoy nature. As a photographer, I can say it’s one of the best locations in the area for engagement sessions—the variety of scenery gives so many options for stunning photos. Highly recommend for both relaxing visits and capturing special moments.

I have been there in the past and it is a beautiful park & neighborhood. The cafe has some nice choices & is rather affordable. On June 5th, my most recent visit with a friend, we ate outside on the deck as workmen were finishing up the new deck. The painting was fine but when they were putting the lacquer on the fumes were blowing toward us. The fumes were taking our breath and they became so bad that we were forced to move inside to finish eating. I don't understand why applying the lacquer could not have been done early AM or late one evening when likely less people would be on or near the deck. Just a thought now that is done.
