Beautiful park. Hadn't been here in a while. We did the trail, some of the trail 😜, as it's over 17miles long. Scenic and well maintained. Hilly & Rocky in parts. We didn't use the marina but it was busy. We'll be back! Enjoy

Personally I didn't have any issues. Had a great time on the water, good experience with the rental staff, and parking was close enough to carry paddleboards.

Best mountain biking trails in northern Virginia. 14 miles of single track, one directional trails. Green loop is about two miles (easy). Blue loop, five miles (intermediate), and black loop, seven miles (more challenging).

It's a really beautiful park with plenty of shade when you hike on the trails. However the trails have a lot of rocks and roots, and some parts of trails are very hilly. There were lots of times where I almost fell over the rocks and roots. Also I see a lot of hikers who let there dogs off the leash. I think that the dog owners should keep there dogs on the leash at all times when hiking no matter how friendly and gentle they are, because I feel like they are disrespecting people that either have a fear of dogs or don't like dogs or even people who may be allergic to dogs. There have been times where I would see dogs off leashes when I was hiking here, they were not aggressive at all but they would walk towards me and sniff me and I found it super annoying( I am not a dog person lol )
