First time coming to this park even though ots right down the road from us. It was ao peaceful. Very interesting learning the history and loved the spacious grounds with benches, trails, the fort, a lighthouse and more. Great place for a picnic or gathering with friends/family. Saw people in the water and fishing just enjoying the day. The water views are great and sunset views even better. The park is clean with plenty of parking. We'll definitely be back to enjoy.

Such a beautiful and well maintained park. Friendly staff, great views, large area to explore and cool history. Easy parking. It always feels like such a privilege to have places like this free

Really nice park even though we could see the inside if the fort. They have had to cut back on the hours, and we didnt get to see the interior. Still we'll work the trip.
