Beautiful spot to spend a day canoeing and walking around Georgetown. Highly recommend. We did a 2 hour canoe rental and brought a cooler with lunch. Row north if you want great scenery of nature and row south if you want an amazing view of the DC cityscape. Will be going again next season!!

Love this place. The staff is super nice, gear is always clean and they sell snacks. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I go at least 3x a month.

Wonderful location to go kayaking! It's easy to reserve them online in advance. Beautiful views and next to the riverfront park and walking /biking trails. Parking isn't ideal, as they don't have a parking lot or street parking in front of the Boathouse, but otherwise it's conveniently located. In the summers, they offer live music and sell drinks. But bring your own food because they only have a small convenience store. They offer small lockers to store stuff you don't want to get wet.

Nice and polite workers, it was my first time kayaking and they were helpful. I also rented a dry bag and a locker. Tip: bring a change of underwear and pants/shorts. You'll get wet. I wore flip flops and I'm glad I did.

Very easy to submit a reservation online. I had a question about something and emailed them and got a prompt response. There was three of us, each with a single kayak, and we kayaked for an hour. We all enjoyed our time. We went on a Saturday, so it was definitely busy around the park, and no parking available under the tunnel, so we parked a few blocks up and walked down to the boathouse. Definitely plan ahead if going on a weekend. They do have porta-potties on site. Overall, it was a smooth process and all the employees were accommodating. I would use this boathouse again.
