We passed by while traveling to Pennsylvania and decided to stop in on our way back and we’re so glad we did. We loved that it’s close to the beautiful Potomac River. The outside is super cute, and somehow the inside is even cuter. We ordered the pork BBQ, which was far better than expected. Most places serve stringy BBQ, but this was flavorful, tender chunks of meat in a really tasty sauce. I added coleslaw, and it honestly tasted just like my grandmother’s recipe. We also ordered the steak and cheese sub and couldn’t believe how much meat was on it. The fries were perfectly crispy. Our server (didn’t catch her name, but she had dark hair) did a great job, and our food came out fast and hot. This was a great stop, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re passing through!

Have been traveling by this place for years and decided to stop, so glad I did. Loved the 50’s diner decor. My steak was delicious. Friendly staff. There is a bar also. Clean restrooms.

Fact; they use their own beef cattle for the steaks and burgers so freshness is a guarantee.

Vibe is from yesteryear with the front area having a bar and cool 50’s feel with the white and red plastic chairs with white tables. Looked to be a back area but didn’t check that out. It may get a bit loud at the bar depending on the game on the TV. It was overly cold for some reason where we sat (wife needed a jacket). It reminded me of what we called a ‘greasy spoon’ eatery like I used to work at when I was younger. It may not fit all demographics but it suited mine fine.

I got a Bacon BBQ Burger with my Yuengling while my wife got a 6” Steak and Cheese with an Unsweetened Tea. I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't wait to dive into my burger. The taste reminded me of a backyard BBQ with the burger right off the grill. My wife really enjoyed her shaved steak sandwich. Using local beef (especially your own cows) is the only way to go.

With tip, it came just to $36. The funny story was that my beer 🍺 was the same price as her tea 🤣 I love local places 👍 If our travels pass by Hancock MD, we are definitely be stopping for grub here again!

So the food was good. Everything seasoned really well. The pasta is a big enough portion to share and the gravy on the roast beef sandwich is really good.
However, we waited 38 minutes after ordering to get our food and it wasn’t out server we eventually called over a different guy and he went to the back and we watched him grab it off the bar. So it turned out little stop into a way longer stop. The guy comes over and goes she is struggling sorry for the wait.

Our food was hot and fresh. Plenty of options to choose from sausage gravy delicious. We have eaten here a lot. There is a waitress we always hope we get Stacy, she impresses me, she never stops. She goes to everyone of her tables gives refills, foods always right. She takes dirty dishes. Kind and personable. She checks back. She makes us feel welcome. She always has a smile even when the place is packed.
