To celebrate our anniversary, we left the bustling suburbs and spent several hours at restaurant foraged. at Patowmack Farm.
It was absolutely one of the most extraordinary meals of our life. Having just opened this month, it is clear that Chef Chris has created something very special and unique.
Our superb tasting was served outdoors overlooking the Potomac River. The five course chef’s tasting menu was fresh, creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. All parts of the meal were locally sourced; Chef Chris, himself, foraged for the mushrooms we enjoyed in several courses. Effortlessly and graciously, the team accommodated all of my dietary limitations.
Perhaps what made the evening most special was our server, John. Apart from his excellent technical skills, he was a generous host and fascinating storyteller. He shared details about the history of Patowmack Farm and the sources of the ingredients in each sumptuous plate. He created an atmosphere of radical hospitality in countless ways.
We have discovered a gem far closer than Blackberry Farm and yet just as world class. We can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time dining at Patowmack farms! We were served ~9 courses and enjoyed all of them! The cocktail menu was amazing and we tried a couple. Wine selection is a bit limited, but they were great options. Incredible views from the greenhouse and the staff were near perfect! We’ll be back again
