Privately owned but meticulously cared for and tended, this park is such a delightful surprise in the middle of Maryland. A donation is suggested at the entrance, and we were more than happy to do so. It's 100% worth it. My two nephews and I hiked all over the mountain. The trails were well blazed and overlooks were clean and uncluttered. It can get quite busy and parking can sometimes be a challenge as a result, but stick it out - it's worth it.

If you're hiking, going to the peak is a must!

If you're wanting to minimize your walking, then visiting each overlook is a wonderful compromise.

Bugs weren't an issue for us on this visit, but they can be an issue in mid to late Summer.

Wildlife abounds on the mountain. Use caution when driving up, and take your time coming back down. You never know what you'll see!

Great park. The only real downside is how busy it is on weekends. Hard to find parking. Great views, scenic trails. But busy.

Sometimes parking can be tight and the online schedule isn’t always correct about when it is open, but besides that good trails, some nice places to do free climbing. And overall good view with an easy to do hike.

Short but moderately difficult hike, depending on which view you’re accessing. The trails are well maintained and it’s a beautiful area. Definitely worth it.

Great place for fall colors and enjoying nature! Hike to the summit is short and a little steep, but good for an afternoon adventure.
