This place was awesome. I would definitely recommend getting the in-depth private tour it is well worth it. You learn a lot and get to see a lot more. What if you from the back and the front of the mansion. Very cool history here. Give a shout out to Peter our tour guide did an awesome job and new and whole bunch about the place

The grounds and structures on the property here are just gorgeous. So glad we spent several hours touring. So much history, and the incredible feeling that you are walking where our incredible General and First President walked. In the house, you will hold the same banister George and Martha used to climb the stairs to the second floor. So many amazing artifacts to see.

Loved it! We went during the reenactment weekend which included a Washington and a LaFayette conversation. Both reenactors were outstanding in their roles. We were there 2 days and still didn't see everything. The museum was small but memorable in the high quality of artifacts. The Ladies Association has done a wonderful job and I recommend going for the full membership instead of a 1 or 2 day pass. We already realized savings beyond the price difference with the discounts on site and the reciprocal museum benefits. Kudos for hosting a phenomenal weekend!

Loved our visit to Mount Vernon. It has been incredibly restored and now cared for. It was great to visit and think about how our first leader lived and the life he built on the banks. Such a cool location for a home as well and with the walk down to the Potomac you learn why it's called mount. The tour was great from our phone and earbuds, it was nice to walk around and learn things just from the phone.

If you’re thinking about visiting Mount Vernon, don’t hesitate — it’s absolutely worth it.
From the start, everything is extremely well organized. We had no wait time at all for the house tour, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable. Every single area invites you to explore calmly, from the beautiful gardens to the walkways and exhibits.
The bathrooms were very clean, and having a place to eat on-site is a huge plus, especially if you plan to spend several hours there. The entire place feels welcoming, educational, and comfortable.
One of the best historical sites I’ve visited. Highly recommended.
