The staff at Brunswick Family Campground was super friendly and helpful, and Patty, the large group coordinator for River and Trail Outfitter, was ultra professional. Our large church youth group - with 150 young men and adult leaders - had a wonderful time here. The camping area was clean, had plenty of fire rings and picnic tables, and remained shady within a beautiful setting. Bugs were at a minimum, and the area was well maintained, including a very clean bathhouse. Patrons seemed to observe quiet hours. The campsite is conveniently located along the C&O Canal and near Harper's Ferry. The only drawback was the nearby trainyard, and the sound of locomotives began early in the morning. Recommendation: bring ear plugs for sleeping.

Brunswick Family Campground saved our entire trip — and just like that, we found our new home campground.
We had a booking error at our usual KOA — showed up Thursday ready to camp through the weekend and found out I'd accidentally booked for July. We'd just spent $200 on groceries. I started calling every campground near Harpers Ferry and Brunswick was the second call I made. They got us into a cabin immediately, for our exact dates, no hassle.
We came with pool floats planning on a typical tubing trip — no pool here, but we didn't need one. We walked down to the boat ramp about a mile and a half away, put our floats in the Potomac, and spent hours on the river. We tethered off, had lunch, had drinks, and had an absolute blast both Friday and Saturday. The best part? We floated directly back to the campsite. No shuttles, no coordinating rides — just float home.
What started as a stressful situation turned into one of the best camping weekends we've had. A 47-year-old mom, her 23-year-old daughter and boyfriend, and her 18-year-old son — and everyone left happy.

They do not enforce the quiet hour policies, so other campers will party loudly with music, bright lights, singing, breaking glass bottles, and loudly vomiting until 4am. We tried asking the other guests to please be quiet, but they didn’t care and simply ignored both the camp host and even the POLICE. The cops directly told us and the other annoyed campers that until the host gives the order, they can’t be stopped, so the campsite directly allowed this. An absolute shame that ruined the night for all other campers, just because the staff is spineless and scared of a little uncomfortable confrontation. So, if you want to disrespectfully party and scream well into the night while 50 feet away from sleeping children, this place is the spot, but otherwise if you actually want to sleep or just hear nature for even a minute, this is not suitable. I have stayed here repeatedly before but this will absolutely be the last.

It's a small quaint, little family campground. Nestled on the Potomac river with amazing views and staff. Shout out to JB, for just being you, you are the kindest person and so so very helpful. Thank you for your assistance with everything.. we will definitely be returning

This place is a classic campground with what you want in a campground. Staff was soooooo nice and friendly. The sites are classic and spacious. Showers were hot and clean. This place has kayaks and bikes and right on the river. This place is a family gem for classic camping. Don’t let the people who complain about the trains weigh your decision as the noise is not bad and no horns were heard at any time.
