such a cool place to visit if you’re in georgetown! Stop by for a tour, or just explore the gardens. Make sure you don’t miss this incredible landmark! My family were shocked when I brought them here for the first time. They couldn’t believe that they had missed out on such an amazing piece of history in previous visits. Definitely worth a visit. It’s incredible to see a living piece of history.

How can one review a historical site? There is history being told, it's free, and there is plenty of artifacts for show. Upstairs is closed off and there is a healthy large gift shop right behind the entrance. It's not gimmicky but is it a pleasant shock to see a historical site continuing to survive against the tide of $$$$ Georgetown development.

There is a fun height ruler showing the height of prominent historical figures. The most fascinating observation is how well insulated this Old Stone House. There is actually little to no noise from the outside once you are inside despite the entrance being a dozen feet from the street. This may be the closest fabrication to a historical time machine as you can get.

There's not really much to see here but it is a historical landmark. They do have a tour and it is amazing how much square footage is this little place has

A must see if you’re visiting DC or Georgetown. Oldest building in DC. Free admission.

This is the oldest structure on its original foundation in Washington, D.C. There is not much to it. When you enter there’s a decent size gift shop and one other room on the first floor. The second floor was closed off. There was only a fireplace/cooking area on the first floor. The garden was decent size but seemed unkempt.
