Harpers Ferry Adventure Center after a competitor outfitter cancelled our reservation due to “lack of interest & forecast weather”. It was a fortunate turn of events. We had such a great time rafting with HFAC! The reservation for rafting was confirmed via a phone call at 9am for a 10am departure. Wow we had to hustle, but we made the launch time! Super professional outfitters. Good clean equipment and professional departure briefing. We were transported to the put in by bus. Another brief safety orientation prior to raft boarding. Our guide for the day, Alyson, was thorough, thoughtful and had great local historical information during the trip. So much fun on the class 1, 2, & brief 3 rapids. Leisurely pace and so relaxing. We stoped for a swim to cool off. We will be back.

It's nice quiet get away. The cabins are bare minimum with an A/C and only electrical plug only. No nice, great fishing spots at all. It rained all 4 days of the weekend of Memorial day weekend 2026. We did manage to burn up a lot of firewood with several campfires. The firepits and their charcoal grills are one in the same. We would go back just for the cabins though.

I went with a group of 7 people. From the time we pulled in to the time we pulled out the staff were amazing! They gave us clear directions! The views are amazing and once on the water, I have no words. Thank you all for an AMAZING DAY!!!!!!

We camped here for two nights with a group of about 30 people. There was good ramp access to the water. However, water shoes are a must to protect from sharp rocks. The camp ground is small. It has a great tree canopy from the hearty trees around it that protects much of the camp from intense sun. There are two fire pits and two small grills. The port-a-potty's are a short walk away. They provided hand sanitizer dispenser in them, which is nice. We pre-booked a reservation for the zip line. When we arrived the staff was welcoming and thorough in the teaching. However, when we ascended the stairs of the course I became concerned. As we were climbing them I noticed a wood plank propped against the right side of the stairs and when we stepped onto the first platform there was an undeniable sway. My son and I decided to stop at this point. I was very disappointed with its condition. As a reference we'd been to another zip line course in Virginia the week before and felt non of this. In my opinion that platform needs an overhaul and a well needed update. When we returned back to camp another camper shared that they too thought the course is "rickety". We also signed up for the flat water tubing. The weather was perfect and It was a beautiful ride. It took our crew about 2.5 hours which was perfect with kids.
