Best hike I’ve been to in Maryland. Can’t believe I haven’t visited sooner. The view is almost too good for the effort put in. We got up in 45 minutes and down in 35.

Good hike, some rocky terrain, plenty of parking, way to follow path, no too crowded. The higher up you get, the more you can hear the highway- that was disappointing. But I enjoyed the view and lack of crowds.

Easy to moderate trail for any beginner. Quite safe becauce it is located near residents. (Direction is maintained and quite clear) Short distance out and back. (about 2 miles) Nice exercise - walking on a little steep and slope way/rock. The scenery at the cliff is amazing and worthwhile to spending some time for your experience and relax alone or with friends/family. Parking lot is good size, near by and free.

Weverton Cliffs is an incredible spot that makes the hike well worth it! The trail is a short but steady climb from the parking area, and while it can be a bit steep in places, the payoff at the top is amazing. The overlook gives you sweeping views of the Potomac River and surrounding mountains—especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset. It does get busy on weekends, so I’d recommend going early in the morning or later in the evening if you want a quieter experience. The rocky ledge can feel a little narrow when crowded, but there’s still plenty of space to sit and soak it all in. Pack some water, wear sturdy shoes, and take your time on the climb. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Weverton Cliffs is a must-see stop for anyone who enjoys hiking and breathtaking views!

Oh this place is so pretty. I went after a rainstorm so it was cloudy and couldn't properly see the sunset. But still beautiful non the less. It was a very technical hike up at times. But a good rewarding workout. Very steep. I enjoyed just relaxing on the rocks for a while.
