Food was good. My husband said the coleslaw was the best he has ever eaten.Waitress was not friendly. It is a small place and a little tricky to get to. You walk up to the back of the bldg. and go around to get into the front. It is in a strange location. Parking is a short distance away.

Pulled pork - overall average bite. I prefer my pulled pork with no sauce and this came with plenty which masked the cook of the pork. Plenty of other things to choose from so you decide and see for yourself. I just happened to be passing by so I tried it. Rev BigJohn’s Backyard BBQ reviews.

Soups were good. They offer mixing the two crab soups - I didn't but wish I would have.
BBQ was also very good, and so were the ribs.

Parking is hard - try to park under the highway.

Ordered x large crabs dozen $85.00, the meat was sweet but if the crabs were extra large they HAD to be the smallest x large I ever saw. Crabs were not heavy, we did have about 2 crabs I'd say xlarge. The claws on most were tiny so I'd say those crabs were NOT xlarge. So let's say, will not order crabs again there but waitress was decent. She never did empty the over flowing bucket. Oh well live & learn

Stopped for lunch on our way to ride the rail bikes, and we both enjoyed the experience, though it feels a little more neglected than rustic with minor damage to the booth cushions and the tables. The food was very good, and the server was friendly, if a little inattentive considering how few people were there at the time.
