This is for the beer garden: The food is mediocre, although the service was good. The restroom was not very clean. Seating can sometimes be an issue, and the fans could be positioned better. The outdoor setting is nice, and the live music is enjoyable. They also have a good variety of beers. However, the food is definitely not good, and I would not recommend this place for dining or dinner. It is not good value for the price, either. Especially a pizza was not cooked well, and tasted like they just spread tomatoes on a bread and served. It did not have any flavor. Been to many beer gardens food should have been better

We stopped in after a trip to Glenstone for a birthday dinner. The place was adorable and the food delicious! The pasta was amazing, I don't know how my partner was able to have left overs. The key lime cheesecake was the perfect amount of tart you would expect. The lox was a fun twist on the traditional. A few things to note was that while the scallops were to die for, I think serving size for $46 was a bit much. I don't mind the price per se, but even adding a side that wasn't a sad cauliflower would have been ok. Also, we love a good cocktail and are happy to pay $20 a drink. The negroni and bees knees were good but presentation/glassware could be better at that price point. After dinner we went to the beer garden for a fun atmosphere and significantly lower prices. All in all, we would return.

We ate here after a long walk on the Great Falls trail. There is an entrance to the trail (with parking) near the restaurant but we parked on the restaurant parking lot. The garden area was gorgeous. It offers cool fresh breeze on a sunny afternoon. The mushroom tart salad was phenomenal. It was so good we scraped the plate clean! The gyro meat was a bit dry to our liking. The burger was okay. I have to agree with other reviews that the meal prices are a tad overpriced. But we will go back for that mushroom salad! So good!

Old Angler’s Inn has a beautiful patio that’s hard to beat, especially on a nice summer day. The setting is charming and relaxing, and that’s really what you’re paying for.

The food, however, didn’t come close to justifying the price. Lunch for one adult and one child came to over $80 before tip. The gazpacho was essentially a cup of soup for $18, the “Anchovies Brioche” was five canned anchovies on pieces of brioche for $19, and the kids’ tomato pasta was $17. Everything was well prepared, but the portions and value were wildly out of proportion to the cost.

If you’re looking for a lovely outdoor setting and don’t mind paying a premium for the atmosphere, you’ll probably enjoy it. But if you expect the food and portion sizes to match the prices, you’ll likely leave feeling the same way I did: the patio is excellent, the food is decent, but the value is simply out of control.

Reviewing the beer garden only, which was excellent. (See thoughts on the main restaurant below.) The beer garden has great vibes. Great burger. And I really enjoyed the live music. The perfect mid afternoon post hike lunch.

Update:
The main restaurant was so disappointing. Eating outside is amazing! The service is good though a little aggressive about clearing plates. But the food was so so bad. The wagyu burger was a corporate frozen patty with little flavor. The smoked salmon hash was simply terrible.
