Your regular Hiker Biker Campsite along the C & O Canal Towpath.
It was in March when we backpacked into this camp. Therefore, the pump handle was not on the pump. On the other hand, the porta potty was relatively clean.
You will have the sounds have trains throughout the night as they travel the rails that are across the river.
One disappointment for me is that to set up a hammock you have to go into the woods, unless you have extremely long tree straps. I am usually good for trees between 15 and 18 feet apart. All trees out in the open are much further apart than that.

Camped here. It's a very nice spot along the river. Like all the C&O canal campsites there is a picnic table an outhouse and a water pump. It was a very peaceful time.

I canoe the Potomac River. There's no sign on the side of the river that your on Leopards Mill Campsite. However if your on the bike trail it's well mark. Looking from the river at the bank, you can see porta-john, bbq grill and the backside of the Leopards Mill post. Kudos to the individual who left the rope tied to the log in order to climb the river bank of the campsite. I canoe in late October and alot of the leaves are gone. But if your planning to it in the middle of summer, it may not be as visible because of full foliage. Not alot of land mark. Best wishes on your Potomac River Paddle adventure.

Decent. Got some grass and a river. Logs to sit on. No birds or deers or nothing.
★☆☆☆☆
Abysmal water acess. Crazy bank require straight bush wacking. NOT kayak or canoe friendly. Small campite area.
