Wow google reviews pictures and videos don't do it justice. Seeing and hearing the planes coming in for landing is such a sweet experience. The first tume we went the planes were taking off so the height was decent but if you can catch it the next day when landing is so much better. It feels like their 50-75 ft in the air compared to 100+ft. Great time with the family for lunch.

I give it five stars because the planes come less than 100 ft over your head. You can also hear and feel the wake turbulence. Gravelly Point is amazing! Highly recommend going there.

We had such an ep time at this park getting as close I seemingly possible to the landing strip fence and taking some epic photos. The place was jam-packed last Sunday with kids and families and bicyclists and people riding scooters such a fun family oriented place. I brought a bag filled with sandwiches drinks snacks fruit packed enough cooler and sparkling cider for the little one lol anyone looking for a peaceful place with airplanes find directly overhead minute after minute this is the place.

From here you can watch planes landing at Reagan National and see the Potomac, the Air Force Memorial, the Pentagon, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the National Cathedral, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, and even the Navy Yard area. I see Nice trail lots of bikes and Fairly maintained park and people do fish on side and Walk or bike and take in the "preserved historic"' views. And Great fishing!
Peaceful place to have a nice picnic Great spot trail, there are hills for beginner to moderate riders. It’s such a beautiful place.
