I absolutely love Yards Park, especially during the summertime when I’m able to go on runs there. For example, today I only planned to run a mile, but because the scenery and atmosphere are so nice, I ended up running longer. It’s such a pretty area to walk, run, or just hang out by the water.
It’s also home to some of my favorite spots, including Osteria Morini and Barry’s, which makes the area even better. Overall, it’s one of my favorite places in DC and such a perfect spot to spend time when the weather is nice.

This one has a nice balance of praise and practical advice. I kept the parking complaint in there because it's genuinely useful information for people visiting for the first time.
The Yards is one of my favorite places to relax and enjoy a nice spring or summer day in DC. The area has changed so much over the years that sometimes I hardly recognize it anymore.
There’s plenty to do whether you're looking for food, drinks, ice cream, people-watching, or just a place to sit and unwind. I especially enjoy the chairs and benches along the waterfront, the boardwalk views, and the open green spaces. It’s a great spot for a date, meeting friends, reading a book, or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
My only disappointment was the parking. I paid $35 for about three hours, which definitely took away from the experience. If you're driving, I would recommend looking at nearby garages or parking options before pulling into the closest lot.
That said, once you're there, the vibe is hard to beat. Beautiful waterfront views, lots of activity, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a great destination for an afternoon, evening, or weekend outing.
Definitely worth a visit—just plan ahead for parking. This one reads like a local giving honest advice, which tends to get a lot of "helpful" votes from other reviewers.

Calm. Clean. Located next to lots of restaurants. Peaceful spot to spend an hour or so, unless there is an event.

I love it down here, sometimes my son set by the water and sometimes we go on the other side, find a tree and sit under it. A chill vibe with friendly people. One important part for me is the Throne Toilets porta potty because you scan the qr code with your phone, that prompts you to send a text and when you come out they send a survey, it controls who comes in while also allowing you to let them know if its clean. All in all, I love The Yards Park and recommend it and go maybe 2-4 times a month. I thought this pic was cool, shows some of why I love it, the water. I went down again and took some other pics while on a boat ride, thank me later

Peace and quiet even on a long weekend with beautiful weather. Comfy seats were great for me to put my feet up after a long bike ride. Love it! A new place where to come more often to escape the stress of the city without even getting out of it.
