A really nice place to eat. The restaurant is actually in Maryland because it sits on a pier on the river. Great views over the river. The food is good and the seafood fresh. The best Rockfish I've had. Fast friendly service and staff. The only downside is no beers on tap, bottles only.

What a wonderful little spot! Sunset views, excellent crab fries and crab cakes! Teresa, our server was truly outstanding! Definitely a dive in some ways, but my God the food, service, and views are unbeatable! A must go!

Update: do not order the cheese steak, really just don't do it.

This place has really gone down hill! The last two times I went the hostess was really rude, and the food took 2 hours to come out! They also forgot to cook several of the things we ordered, so some people had no food and other people were eating their dinners before the appetizers even came out. It was an absolute disaster! They give you a lot of crab, they have cheap strong drinks, and a great view. If you're looking for good service or have an expectation that what you order will actually come out, skip it. Otherwise go for a drink, watch the sunset, and eat whatever ends up on your table.

I never received my Pizza. I sat there and waited as others I was eating with got served. After they waited a bit, I told them to go ahead and start eating I will just flag the waitress when she went by. She never came back, everyone was finishing up their food so I got up and track down her down to tell her that I never received my pizza. I stood there as she went and talked to the cooks. Came back and told me that there was another 7 minutes on the pizza as they had to make fresh sauce. I said okay and went back to the table. Everyone was finished with the food back at the table. As the waitress was walking by on the way to another table she said it was coming out any minute. We sat there for another 20 to 25 minutes and never received anything. We got up to leave and tracked down the waitress got her to take the pizza off the bill. After waiting a total of an hour and a half to leave and never received the pizza.

We have been going to the tavern for 25 years and we have to say that Annie Sharp is running a wonderful place. The rockfish bites were light, fluffy and scrumptious.. we will be back!

Returned 8/28/25 with Jocelyn as our server and had the seafood pizza. Wow! Definitely a do again. The service was great as always. If you order the seafood pizza bring an appetite and friends!
