Please be aware....
I've stayed here for almost a week. I woke up this morning to someone staring at me in the middle of the night....
This strange man just stares somehow I wake up at 0250am turns around and walks out. No idea how long this man was here for.
I immediately run to the door and lock it. **I had fallen asleep with the intention to make it back to my truck and grab some stuff which is why the hook was not on the door** I start calling the front desk because im scared to come out of the room. My anxiety starts to kick in. The phone is ringing my heart is beating 1000x faster. No answer. I hang up... call again... they answered with a please hold. Have me on hold for a long time. I went thru 1000 emotions in that very second. Hang up. Call again... Hold. FINALLY SHE GETS TO ME..... I asked if by any chance she had been upthere or housekeeping or someone from management... all I got was "Yeah the man is no longer in there.... I gave him the wrong key" no apology. No im sorry are you okay. After hearing my voice of concern and scared. Nothing. It is now 4am. Im scared to go back to sleep. Anxiety is to the top and to her its like well HES NO LONGER THERE.... what if this man would have done something to me.... 😭.... Definitely a horrible experience.

Location provided easy access to the Western MD Scenic Railroad (the reason for our stay). The rooms were clean, the pool was clean (hot tub was closed on our visit), the hotel felt safe, and all staff was extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast (not the most delicious but suitable). Be prepared that the traffic patterns are.....weird, but otherwise our stay here was great!

Our stay at Fairfield by Marriott in Cumberland, MD was a very enjoyable experience. Despite the rainy weather which hotel staff could not control (lol), they served us with professional and courtesy. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this hotel for Delfest, it was a phenomenal experience. Tonight I felt bad for the little front desk girl, she was answering calls, trying to give guests requests, ring people up and had an awful couple screaming at her about the beer being locked. I stuck around to make sure she was okay offered her a tip after the very rude couple walked away she refused. So I’m leaving a review and asking that Someone pat her back and tell her she is doing a good job, because I couldn’t balance everything and remain as calm and polite as she did with everyone.

I am a traveling cosplayer, who does rent a date with [character] where I do alot of traveling along the East coast, you all have made a lifetime customer out of me.

I recommend this place staff is GREAT! Make sure to say hello to the evening guy and the overnight girl. They are great to chat with and beyond friendly.
