After a walk on the Mount Vernon Trail, this is a nice spot to wind down, have lunch and watch the planes come in DCA Airport. The planes seem so close to land that it looks like something out of the movies. 😅.

This is Avgeek paradise! This is an awesome place to go watch planes. There is plenty of area to set up and watch planes taking off from Reagan International all day long. If you have any interest in aviation, this is the place for you to check it!

An incredible FREE parking that is perfect for aviation enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Every few minutes a new plane lands at DCA.
This park is perfectly situated along the Potomac River and gives you a great view of the Capitol and the Washington Monument.
There is limited parking at this park and on busy days you may have to drive around and wait for a spot. Evenings during the week tend to be lighter.

We absolutely loved this place.
Parking was easy. It's a very short walk to be under plane after plane. There's a big open area and a trail closer to the water. Great view of DC from VA. My son (22m) loved it! He got a kick, plane after plane. Will definitely return!
