Had a wonderful experience at Dockside from start to finish. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend their cream of crab soup, the crab cake sandwich, and their shrimp pasta. Will definitely be returning!

So happy to give this quaint, cozy gem of a spot 5 stars! Pulling up, you’re going to instantly start to feel the chill set in because you’re literally at the water’s edge. It was a slightly overcast day but it was still such a beautiful view. I loved hearing the water hitting up against the small beach.

They have a nice size patio (where they have Sunday Brunch and I’d like to check it out soon). Upon entry you’re going to be welcomed by an amazingly attentive and courteous staff. Ciara and Daisja took our orders and by the time I left I felt like I knew these two young ladies all my life. We were laughing and chopping it up about every and anything! lol. They are so fun to talk to.

Then the crab cake sandwiches came out and all the talking stopped because it was absolutely delicious. lol! The crab patty was perfect, bigger than the bun and I can tell it was made with real crab. So tasty paired with the cocktail sauce they served with it.

I’m so glad we found this spot. We were taking a break from working and my Hubby knew about it and suggested we pop in. Dressing up is so not required. Definitely a place to make friends if you’re a person who easily joins in the conversation. Can possibly be your next “Cheers” spot as regulars were walking in and knew each other by name. So cute. I want them to know my name too and say it when I walk in someday! lol.

I was very happy with our experience. The food is amazing and probably the first restaurant in a while that has given me actual crab meat in the crab dip. I got the crab cakes that tasted great with absolutely no filler and my wife got the steak. The steak was very good but nothing extravagant.
The atmosphere does need some work along with some better seating arrangements. The floor is angled which makes seating uncomfortable and the bathroom needs renovations including a new door. I would highly recommend leveling that floor out with a step down into your bar area. This is obviously a start up and deserves time to resolve these issues. Their food and location definitely made up for any minor inconveniences and I can see the effort being put in by management to create a good experience. We will absolutely be coming back to support this business and recommending our friends.

I had a wonderful experience dining at the Bushwood Dockside Grill this evening. Despite my initial doubts stemming from some mixed online reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, the specials, and how the dishes were prepared. After some discussion, we decided to order the cream of crab soup, the trout dinner, and the fried oyster dinner.

The cream of crab soup was outstanding. It could easily compete with the best cream of crab soups at five-star restaurants. It was rich, flavorful, and generously portioned with plenty of crab.

The fried oysters were perfectly prepared. They were lightly breaded and cooked just right, ensuring the oysters' flavor wasn't overshadowed by the cooking process. The chef also made sure they weren't greasy, which made them even better. The oysters are definitely a dish I would order again.

I didn't try the trout myself, but I was told it was cooked to perfection and is a must-try item.

For sides, we chose kale and Brussels sprouts. Both were seasoned beautifully, enhancing the natural flavors of the vegetables rather than masking them. I will definitely order these again.

Thanks to the friendly waitress, the caring owner, and the fantastic food, I will ensure that my next visit to Bushwood Dockside Grill comes sooner rather than later.

We ate here this evening for the first time and were not disappointed. Staff were very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the crab balls and 7th District Seafood Platter. Def recommend and will be back
