When my son and I walked into Nutters little did we know that we were in for a treat, and not just the rich dairy based kind. The staff were kind, pleasant, and genuinely happy to serve us. The atmosphere is genuine Americana. Cash only, so come prepared. Best part, aside from the generous and tasty ice cream? Sitting on the main street benches in small town USA eating ice cream, watching kids encourage passing trucks to honk their horn, an being grateful for places where life is a little slower pace.

UNSANITARY!!! I don’t understand how people love this place. Are the prices great? Yes. But at what cost?

The two times we went to try it out over the summer, I noticed the lady scooping the ice cream wasn’t wearing gloves. Even though it goes against my better judgement, I could POSSIBLY be okay with it but when my ice cream being scooped is rolling across the servers bandaid on their finger, that’s where I have to draw the line 🤢

Two different occasions this EXACT scenario happened! Mind you, these visits were months apart. I tried not to care but my food was literally touching someone’s contaminated bandaid. I threw it away. I shouldn’t have even paid and I regret not reporting to health department. Will not be back. The only reason I attempted a second visit was because I was hoping the first time was a fluke.

If they don’t care about bandaids touching peoples food, I’m sure there are plenty of other health code violations that exist in this place.

This place has been on my bucket list for over two years since moving to the area. I will say the ice cream is phenomenal and the prices are unbeatable. ** Special note- there is no seating inside or outside.** Only metal park benches are outside which were unsuitable in the rain we encountered today. I attempted to eat my large ice cream hunched over one table in the corner without a chair. It was good but this could be a better experience. Would recommend you try at least once.

Best ice cream in the area. At busy times they have a line wrapped around the building! Worth the wait. Pumpkin ice cream with marshmallow topping is delicious! Great prices. Cash only so be prepared.

What an amazing gem! This place is like straight out of the past. Amazing portions, amazing selections amazing all around. Two nice ladies and a young man working a line out the door at the end of the evening, and still laughing and smiles all around. The young man said he even had a challenge to anyone who eats a large banana split! The prices are incredibly great, especially the massive portions they dish out. Highly recommend stopping here. And if there is a line, it's well worth the wait!! The banana split small was 6 scoops of ice cream anywhere else!
