This USED to be one of our favorites spots to rent. today we arrived only to be told that no longer do they allow well behaved dogs in their rentals. My entire day was planned around coming here else i would driven in a completely other direction. no exceptions etc.
So a fair warning for other dog handlers who come to do the same. Apparently this was their rule all along and they never followed their own rule. So now they just decided to, no warning. Doesn’t seem fair that clients should now have to suffer at their lack of prior detail orientation!

Have come here twice and LOVED it! Really good area to launch boats, standup paddle boards, kayaks etc. It’s not a 5 star review because there was a huge line to pay for the kayak because the computers were down and the teenage staff were a bit frantic. My friends brought their stand up paddles (between $ 2.5-5 to launch depending on residence/age) and my bf and I rented a double kayak for $19/hr which is a bit expensive but worth it as the scenery is gorgeous. We will definitely come back many times. The park is great with a lot hiking trails too. We did a picnic afterwards at one of the many picnic tables. I recommend arriving early in the day as there are less people and less chance of rentals being sold out.

Busy ramp and nearby but remote parking, but it accesses a great reach to paddle. One of our favorite put-ins.
