I had high expectations for The Clinton House based on its reputation, but unfortunately this was one of the more disappointing steakhouse experiences I've had.
I ordered the dry-aged New York strip medium-rare, but it arrived with barely any pink in the center. More disappointing than the temperature, however, was the quality of the steak itself. The meat was tough, dry, and had the flavor and texture of a low-quality supermarket steak rather than a properly prepared dry-aged steak. Regrettably, I had to send it back, because it was barely edible.
My date ordered the filet, which was cooked to the correct temperature, but it suffered from the same disappointing flavor and texture. It simply wasn't the quality of beef or preparation you expect from a restaurant known for its steaks.
To their credit, the staff replaced my strip with the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly and was genuinely delicious, although it was also noticeably under seasoned and contained a significant amount of fat marbled throughout the cut—not just around the edges.
In fact, under seasoning was a consistent theme throughout the meal. The appetizers, salads, and steaks all tasted as though little to no salt or pepper had been used before cooking. Even the Brussels sprouts, which ended up being the best item we ordered, were under seasoned, and covered with more sauce than necessary.
The service was courteous and they handled the replacement professionally, but at the end of the day, the food is what matters. For a restaurant with The Clinton House's reputation, the quality of the steaks and the overall seasoning were simply not where they should be. I left feeling that this is not a quality steakhouse, and I wouldn't return for another steak.

This was our first time eating here and I don't know why we waited so long! First of all, it's a beautiful restaurant. It's also very cozy and romantic. We were seated near the bar but it was not distracting. All of the food was delicious and big portions! The drinks were great too. Luigi was our server and was very attentive to our every need. Order Luigi's tiramisu, it was the best we've been tried! It's the week before Halloween and a guy dressed like a zombie walked by our table at one point which was so fun! I can't wait to go back!

Not too many places seem to be serving prime rib as much these days, so I googled prime rib near me and the Clinton house popped up on my phone. I took a buddy of mine from high school and we both ordered the the king cut prime rib.
When it came I was not expecting it to be a super-sized King cut. Our server Carissa who was fantastic every step of the way, said it was a 33 Oz Bone in-prime rib. This prime rib was one of the best prime ribs I think I've ever had it was so tender and flavorful. I would highly recommend the Clinton house. It was a little bit pricey but you get perfection all the way through your meal.

Come here for a birthday celebration.
The food was great. The foof service was super. Don't forget to take a picture in front of the fireplace with your friends and family. There is a very pretty stain glass artwork hanging on the ceiling. It will enhance your picture a great deal.
We usually call ahead to meet reservations.
This restaurant is located next to a river and the Hunterton Art Museum. If you stop by and browse the art exhibition. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice place, the menu offers a wide range of different food to choose from, desserts are presented on a wooden board to look at before deciding, very friendly staff and decent Jazz music in the background, which lifts the atmosphere to a higher level. Prices are a little bit on the more expensive side, but absolutely worth it. Parking is just in front. Highly recommendable.
