Decently clean station with a coffee shop and bathroom but crazy murdery vibe. If you are a woman traveling alone I would not recommend getting off at this station alone. I was coming up from the Bronx and the most scared I have ever felt on public transport was at this station. It’s just a murdery vibe, millions of signs warning about human trafficking (like those jersey rest-stops no one uses) and then just woods for miles. Such an eerie vibe.

Decent train station, terrible parking enforcement. Was written a parking citation for an out of date inspection. Village of Croton does not have a code for such a citation and was instead written a ticket for their code 215.30 E section, idling of motor vehicles. Can’t fight it due to living too far away. Just a money grab, do better.

The station was so well laid out and very well maintained. Lots of cool things to see. The photo doesn’t do justice

The station is a nice quiet station north of NYC, but gets a skanky atmosphere and there are generally too few amenities for the sheer amount of commuters and Amtrak passengers here. A fairly good commuter rail station, with bathrooms, indoor heating and benches, but for Amtrak it feels lacking.

Delightful park on the Hudson River, which is not crowded, and great for bird watching, fishing, or having a picnic or BBQ.
