Amazing place to hike. This is near to a trailhead that has two amazing hikes. Easy: Long Path and Challenging: Giant Stairs. If you decide to go to Giant Stairs wear a really good pair of hiking shoes with good grip.

Peaceful Spot with a Beautiful View
There’s no official parking lot, so we had to park on the side of the road, but it was worth it. The path is a short walk, though it does split at one point, so you need to know where you’re going or use a map. Once you get there, it’s really peaceful and scenic, definitely a hidden gem. The monument itself is charming, and the views of the river are beautiful. A nice little spot if you’re looking for something quiet and meaningful.

Nice short hike from the state line parking lot, though there is a section with a bit of elevation change. For easy access if you are just looking to see the monument, Park on 9w North at the white/blue trailhead, that is a flat trail that roughly a quarter mile long.

I’m biased because I just got engaged here, but it really is the perfect little castle in the woods! It’s not huge, but it perfectly fits in pictures and all the fall the colors are beautiful! The hike was gorgeous (we were there the end of October so the leaves we brightly colored)

This is a beautiful structure that I’m glad was saved! You can see this if you’re doing the Long Path or hike the trail from the next parking lot. The trail after this monument gets harder and you have to climb a lot of makeshift stairs. Anyway, this place offers beautiful views and makes you want to go back in time.
