Came here to geocache and to explore the trails. Didn't tour inside the mansion but the grounds are easy going and beautiful! Never seen so many lilac trees in one place :)

Gorgeous views of the Hudson River, beautiful grounds, knowledgeable tour guides. This Hudson Valley mansion may be one of the smaller ones, but is my favorite.

Where the Livingston's legacy began their footprint in Colonial times, pre-Revolution, and became a political family in New York's extensive history. The tour of the house was fun and inspiring enough that Im glad I bought the book of Robert Livingston and Politics of Colonial New York in the gift shop and read it. It was well worth the pricey buy!

Amazing historical site with great intriguing and slightly scandalous stories about the 7 generations (from colonial to the founding fathers on) who lived here. It’s very close to Hudson NY and makes a great day trip if you are coming from NYC or Saratoga. The grounds and estate are very picturesque. It’s guided tours only and the staff are really knowledgeable and tell great tales of the owners. Especially nice to visit in spring or summer. Loved it. Tours are on the hour.
