I’ve been to this park about 30 times now! I’ve hiked all 3 trails. I’ve enjoyed sunset and sunrises in Inwood Park! This park feels like you’re in another part of NY because there’s so much beautiful greenery. My favorites are the Hudson River, Henry Hudson Bridge and the view of the NJ Palisades from Overlook Meadow.

The pictures really don’t do this place justice, it’s a real hiking park with absolutely breathtaking views of Spuyten Dyvil, Henry Hudson Bridge, Hudson River, and the Palisades. The park is usually empty and very quiet despite there’s a highway going over your head and Amtrak trains chugging along, and the metro north trains across Spuyten Dyvil aren’t too audible. On the other side of the park is where you can see the soccer fields, and the walkway that runs parallel to the Hudson. That place is also very quiet even when you got runners, bikers, and people playing soccer there. This place is just over a fifth of the size of Central Park, but in my honest opinion this place has five times better views. The easiest path (the path I took) is about 2.68 miles. That is according to my Apple Watch and including exiting via Dyckman Street and walking to the Dyckman Street train station. But there’s much more difficult paths that I’ve done that are much harder in inclination, and with various pavement conditions from fully paved to partially paved to not paved at all. However, they are all clearly marked so you know where you’re going. I recommend wearing waterproof hiking shoes because there are some areas that the soil can get flooded and puddles can form inside of patches of soft muddy soil. I also do not recommend doing the hardest path right away because the incline has an extremely intense grade to it. The easiest path which also has an incline is much easier to handle and is also much shorter in length. Have fun and stay safe out there!

This is such a wonderful park full of nature, and you don't even have to leave Manhattan. Here you can find playgrounds, sport courts, restrooms, and hiking trails, so people can do a different array of activities. I also found a lot of people running here. In summary this is a park for the whole family to enjoy different activities ✨

A very spectacular park. Includes incredible views, secluded trails, baseball & softball fields and tennis courts and playgrounds. And it is huge. The paths are endless; hike for hours. Just a gorgeous place. ♿️

Manhattan's last real forest. Trails feel like upstate, views of the Hudson and Palisades are gorgeous. Indian caves, old growth trees, actual wildlife—saw a bald eagle once. Henry Hudson Parkway noise cuts through in spots but whatever. Playgrounds, ball fields, dog run by the salt marsh. Quiet, peaceful, worth the trip up.
