The George Washington Bridge is a double-decker suspension bridge that crosses the Hudson River, connecting Manhattan, New York City, and Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Completed in 1927 and opened in 1931, this historic bridge currently operates with 14 lanes, with 8 on the upper level and 6 on the lower level. The lower level opened in 1962.
The bridge is 4,760 ft (1,450 m) long, 119 ft (36 m) wide, and 604 ft (184 m) high. Its imposing size and length, coupled with the towers at its entrance and exit, make it a striking sight. Its daily traffic volume makes it one of the busiest bridges in the world. I-95 passes through the bridge.
Along with the Brooklyn Bridge, it is a symbol of New York City, frequently appearing in Hollywood films. It also has a reputation for being a popular destination for suicide attempts.

This park is a peaceful gem with one of the best views of the George Washington Bridge and Upper Manhattan, especially on a clear day. The view is absolutely stunning, and it’s a great spot to relax, take in the fresh air, and enjoy nature while still being close to the city.

The park is very clean and well-maintained. There’s also a small museum on site during the week, which could be a nice addition to your visit if you go on a weekday. The walking and biking trails are wide and accessible, making it a great place for a scenic walk or a light jog.

There’s plenty of parking around the area. You can pay at one of the machines or use the app, and the rates are very reasonable.

This is a great place for family photos and quiet moments. Don’t forget to bring quarters to use the observation binocular near the edge of the viewpoint it offers a close-up look at the bridge and skyline, and it’s a fun experience for both adults and kids.

Highly recommended if you’re in the area and looking for a relaxing outdoor spot with iconic NYC views.

This spot was on my visit list for this year and it didn't disappoint. This place have the most amazing ing views of the GWB with NYC in the background. This viewing area is located in the city of Fort Lee NJ with plenty of parking. Even though parking is not free it is not expensive $1.50/hrs on weekdays and $2.50/hrs on weekends. Pro top the GPS will tell you to enter on Henry Hudson drive however to get here you want to enter on Bruce Reynolds BLVD. Dogs are welcome just keep them on a leash. Place is clean quiet so it's a perfect place to have a nice relaxing day with friends and family. The views do not disappoint so definitely take plenty of pictures. There's a 2nd viewing area where you can get a nice shot of the Manhattan skyline. You'll have two options to pay for parking by using the machine on the premises or the park mobile app. You can't BBQ but you can bring food to enjoy. Overall great place to visit and spend a nice afternoon absolutely recommend 👌.

Want to see the George Washington Bridge up close? Then this is the place for you! Just beyond the trees is a clearing overlooking a cliff with stunning views of the bridge, Hudson River, and Northern Manhattan. On a clear, sunny day, you can see the bridge in its entirety. Great spot to take pictures and there is plenty of parking, but it is metered parking. You can also walk here but it is a bit of a challenge.

Great view of the bridge and Hudson River. I would highly recommend bringing your own binoculars to catch glimpses of the city. Parking is metered ($1.25-2.50 depending on the day and time), but after 8 pm, it's free in May.
