Took a tour through the Constitution Island Association. We are on New England road trip and this was perfect. They don’t offer tours every weekend so we were thankful we had the opportunity to see this place. We took a shuttle from the Cold Spring Metro north station. We walked the grounds for a Revolution tour. They were offering tours of the Warner house as well. There is neat history here!

The tours of the house and the island were wonderful. The docents did a great job at explaining the deep history, it is worth the visit. I appreciate how undeveloped it is, there is so much beautiful nature.

We took a kayak tour that left from West Point. Guides were part of the Army Recreation(MWR). An enjoyable paddle, only made a little difficult as I had a double kayak with my 11 year old son. Island is great. Full of history and amazing views of West Point and the Hudson.

Painted by Victor DeGrailly (1804-1889) This is a very pleasing view across the River to the foundry that grew and prospered with the Military Academy. It is also a gorgeous rendering of the atmosphere around the northernmost of the Appalachian peaks as they pass through the Hudson Valley.

Pretty awesome piece of The United States of America right here , and a key point in its history. Across the Hudson river from The United States Military Academy at West Point New York , this is the island where the chain across the Hudson was laid out to stop the British boats from advancing up the river
